To the Stovers: I just wanted to say that your boy -- brother, brother-in-law, uncle -- was a treasure to those of us who had the opportunity to know him at Whitworth. He was in my Core 150 discussion group, and he saved me a number of times by offering up opinions and being able to articulate and support his arguments during our group meetings. Though he was just a freshman at the time, he was confident and comfortable with himself, and it was obvious that he made others feel comfortable, as well. If you've never stood in front of a group of perfectly silent 18-year-olds, you can't imagine how I welcomed his comments and his enthusiasm. He didn't feel the need to be cool (or if he did, he hid it well). He had things to say, and he said them, and said them well. He was very bright, as you know, and when he turned in his first argumentative essay I was excited to discover what a wonderful writer he was. He made our group better with his jokes and his helpful comments, and he made our lives better with his big personality and his sheer love for others. We'll miss him 'til we all meet in heaven -- and what a great day that will be. All my best to you, along with my deepest condolences; I can't imagine how difficult these days must be for you, despite your absolutely rock-solid knowledge that Lee is with the Lord, and that he will be right there waiting for you when you go Home. God bless you all. You raised a wonderful son who made a real difference in the world.

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Please accept our heart felt sympathies for your loss.

Dear Robert,Teri, Ryan, and Luke:
Mitch and I are very sad and shocked at the death of Lee. He looked the same as a young man as he did when I taught him in first and second grade. His smile and sense of humor will be forever imprinted on my heart and in my mind. All of your boys are amazing and we are thankful to have been a small part of Lee's short life on this earth.

Dear Stover Family:
I am Molly King's Mom. Molly graduated with Lee in 2005. I remember Lee from Fountain Middle and especially from the High School. I admired him for his strong stand for Jesus Christ and his unwillingness to compromise his faith in the face of peer pressure. Molly and Lee had many classes together because of the AP College classes. Once in Chemistry, Lee and the boys started to play Stump the Teacher with questions that flustered the teacher. Quite a bit of laughter ensude. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven and I am so proud of him in his Ministry to youth. I know that our Heavenly Father will be near to your family and give you that 'peace that passes all understanding.
Molly is at the US Merchant Marine Academy and completing her Internship at Sea. She is heading to
the North Sea on a Motor/Vehicle Transportation Ship. She wishes that she could be here to honor Lee. I will attend the services on Saturday for her.
In Christ, Sharon K. King
